Verse 39
39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
Ver. 39. Come and see ] A most gracious invitation. That self-seeking scribe, Matthew 8:19 , met with far other entertainment. Let men bring to Jesus Christ but lawful petitions and honest aims, and they may have what they will of him.
