15 But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it ; for I will be no judge of such matters .
Ver. 15. A question of words or names ] Gallio esteemed no better of divine doctrine than vain words, and airy discourses. His brother Seneca jeereth the Jews for casting away a seventh part of their time upon a weekly sabbath. Profane persons hold it a madness to be so conscientious. Philosophandum, sed paucis.
