Why do certain believers fall away from God?
1. Lack of Spiritual leaders - Like how Moses went up on the mountain and was gone a long time and the people said let us make a golden calf and worship it (Ex. 32).
Good leaders like David (2 Sam. 23:3-4) or John the Baptist who didn't speak of himself, but of Christ. Paul said, "follow me as I follow Christ" (1 Cor. 11:1) Follow faith (Heb. 13:7) Or Christ himself who is the true light who lights every man who is coming into the world (Jn. 1:9).
2. A desire to go back to the old ways, which is a result of sin (Heb. 3:12) Like Israel who wanted to go back to Egypt, but see (Heb. 11:15)
3. No depth of the Word of God (Lk. 8:13), which produces spiritual roots that is hard to be uprooted.
