"My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways."
Such instruction in Proverbs is so personal to me. This is needful counsel from those that are near us. My son, give me thine heart - word study, give; the father says to the son, give me your full hearts attention to the things that I desire to impart; A wise father will seek to instruct his children rightly in the ways of God. Found throughout the Old Testament is a constant command for parents to teach their chidlren the law. Write it, speak of it, tell it to those that have ears to hear. So that it will not depart from their presence and living.
Why is there an absence of Bible truth? Because the last generation has not told this generation. It only takes one generation to fail in this 'telling' that it is lost. Satan wins with such devious ways. A nation that forgets God loses God. A family that will not speak, nor share the Gospel to children and grandchildren will lose them to the world. You cannot expect young minds and hearts to be filled with worldly, carnal, evil desires and sins for 167 hours a week and not see them become children of hell. Nor can you expect for 1 hour for church a week and expect that to compensate for the evil of 167 hours in sin. But the soul that knows the truth of this, seeks the heart of their children.
