Psalm 143:11 In Psalm 143 David's focus is "For Thy Names' Sake." Why did he pray with that phrase? Daniel exhibits this same preoccupation and passion for God's Name (see Daniel 9:4-19). I encourage you to pause and read that prayer, noticing especially the emphasis on repentance (9:5a, 5b, 5c, 6, 7, 8a, 8b, 9, 10, 11a, 11b, 15, 16. the pray-er, Daniel is greatly grieved over his personal sinful condition and that of his people. Such grief is brought into proper perspective by appealing to the Lord's Name. See Daniel 9:15, 17, 18, 19. Take your Bible and pray through all of the above verses.
