"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
Wonderful Counsellor
That takes care of the decisions of life.
He helps us face issues honestly and courageously and directs our path.
Mighty God
That takes care of the demands of life.
He gives stamina and wisdom for all life's demanding responsibilities.
Everlasting Father
That takes care of the dimensions of life.
He satisfies our deep craving for what is eternal and lasting.
Prince of Peace
That takes care of the disturbances of life.
He calms our fears and settles our hearts and minds, in sorrow and in joy.
Isaiah's answer tells us that Christmas is for all time, for all people.
This son, this child, this leader is the Messiah,
Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
