Identifying with His Way

As we begin to identify with God's Way, then it is that the Word of God and the Truth of God begin to take on reality to those who seek to know Him. True we identify with the Lord when we receive Him, and Christian "baptism" is a mark of that identification. But that is just the beginning. From then... Read More

Incarnation - the humiliation of God

Jesus comes on the scene, and immediately we are made to realize that here is One that is Great because of His humility. Here is One who can take note of the things that are meaningless to others; for He (like the hyssop) was but a "Root of a dry ground." Here was One who "had no form nor comeliness... Read More

Is God Really Late?

Yes, God is always late by man’s standards; but He is right on time according to His own plan and purpose. And this is what makes it all the more frustrating to those who embrace His Word and promise. If only He would delay the promise until the time drew near for Him to fulfill it! Then perhaps we ... Jesus Crucified in Weakness

"...but He liveth by the power of God." What a stench must have filled the atmosphere when the blood flowed freely from Jewish altars, and the flesh of bulls and goats was consumed on the Altar of Burnt Offering! But God said the offering on the Altar of Burnt Offering would be unto Him as "a sweet-... Read More

Just a barley loaf!

If God's people could only recognize that God can only multiply the very little we have when placed unreservedly in His hands! And that it is in the "breaking" of the loaf that the Word of God is multiplied, not in the printing of more Bibles! That it was just a "barley loaf" that tumbled down the s... Read More

Metamorphosis

Sometime in the middle of this century we read of a young Harvard scientist who had spent many hours making various experiments with the silkworm, in an attempt to discover the secret of metamorphosis. After some ten years of tedious experiments he discovered the secret. By dividing the worm into se... Read More

Mount of Transfiguration

"Jesus... was transfigured before them" (Matt. 17:1-2). "And as he [Jesus] prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering" (Lk. 9:29). This was on the Mount of Transfiguration. Again the word used is "metamorphoo." The Son of man appeared in Glory, and t... Read More

My Soul Wait Thou Upon God!

The soul that waits upon the Lord is not one that lacks vision. Rather he is one who is learning to see things as God sees them, and who desires to become involved with Him not only in His plan, but also in His Way; because they know His plan can only be fulfilled by and through a people who walk in... Purge me with hyssop

(Psalm 51) "Have mercy upon me, O God, According to thy loving-kindness: According unto the multitude of thy tender mercies Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin." David was a man after God's own heart. Not because he was sinless... but because... Read More

Setting our goals

Being a finite people we would like to seek out for ourselves a way of life that is fulfilling, and which in the end will bring us into a sense of finality; because the finite mind cannot comprehend unceasing progression. We would like to come to that place where our goals have been achieved and we ... Read More

Show Me Thy Glory!

This was Moses’ cry unto the Lord, as he earnestly sought God for the great task that lay before him. "There shall no man see me, and live," saith God (Ex. 33:20). Then God put Moses in the cleft of the rock, covering him with His hand as He passed by, and Moses only saw the "backparts" of God. He o... Read More

Take the little book, and eat it

We believe we are living in the day of the opening of the seventh seal, and swiftly approaching the hour of the blowing of the seventh trumpet. I do not question that the Book of Revelation is for the whole Church Age, otherwise why would God have admonished His people to "read" it and to be "blesse... Read More

The Ark Brought Back

What we have said thus far, of course, is to bring us to the place where we can appreciate what God had in mind concerning His House. What about the ark of God? The place of His Glory? The place of His Rest? Truly the Lord longs to return to His people; but there must be that very needful preparatio... Read More

The Ark Of The Covenant

The ark of the covenant (the covering of which was called the mercy seat) was hidden away behind the veil in the holy of holies. It was there before the ark of the covenant that the high priest would stand "once in the year" with the blood of goats; and while there, clothed upon with holy garments, ... Read More

The Cedar. and the Hyssop

"And he (Solomon) spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall," (1 Kings 4:33). The Cloud Covers The Tent

In this writing we are emphasizing the Presence of God and the Glory of God. There is much that we have left unsaid concerning the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, but we must hurry on. But first we must consider the Rule of the Cloud, which is the Rule of His Glory. The Tabernacle was a portable struc... Read More

The Credentials Of True Ministry

The ark of God on the shoulders of anointed men? A sturdy cart on wheels, and a well-organized program, would seem to be much safer. Oxen are much stronger than men. And Uzzah the strong man can keep things in order. Now the "shoulder" is the place of strength. And the shoulders of the priests would... Read More

The Feast Of Tabernacles - Preface

This book was first written in the spring of 1951, and published a few weeks later. It seemed to lay almost dormant for a number of years, for great revivals were sweeping the country, and the spiritual drought of many decades had given way to times of refreshing. God had much more for His people, b... Read More

The Feast Of Tabernacles - TABERNACLES, The Feast Of Glory

Let us recall how the three events comprising the Feast of the Passover all blended harmoniously together to form that first great Feast of the Church.
