God's judgment is coming to the world. He will be impartial in His judgment of our lives- even the lives of His people. Ezekiel 20:45-21:7 is a warning and encouragement to us to live different from the world around us as we live obediently to God. If we live like the world we will be judged with the world.

God never more puts the "amazing" in His grace than when He brings us to realize just how undeserving we are of it. But when we do come to know Him in His grace, it brings us to value Him above all. Ultimately, He will not be valued by us at all until He is valued by us above all.

If Satan can get us to doubt God's Word, then all is lost. Be careful not to listen to him or those who preach his messages of deception; listen only to Christ, whose truth will sit us free!

God takes holiness and covenant much more seriously than we often do. When we undervalue the need for faithfully following God in His Word and living as a holy people before Him, disastrous consequences enter our lives. God's communication, fellowship and graces are impaired or cut off from us- like an iron wall between us. If we are to fellowship with God we must fellowship with Him His way- and His way is by faithfully following Him in His Word in righteousness and truth!

You don't have to be something great in this world to be greatly used by God. He desires for us to walk day by day in Him by faith as He works out His awesome plans for our lives!

We often hedge our bets in this life based on what we see with our eyes and can comprehend with our minds. But we must be careful that in doing so we act faithlessly and so hedge our bets against God!

It's a sad reality that even when God does He greatest works people can be so focused on themselves to totally miss it. Such mindsets seek to divide the church instead of unite it. So, how do we deal with folks that are trying to take the honor for themselves? Humility.

God will deliver His people from fear and foe one way or another. And it's amazing what He uses to encourage us on the way- even a dream of a bread loaf taking out an enemy camp! If you are facing fears and dealing with people rising up against you for your faith know that God is at work to deliver you from it all!

One of the saddest verses of the Bible is "after them another generation rose up who did not know the Lord" but it's a sadness we continue to see today. But when we receive His discipline, we are assured that what was in the past is done and He has blessings waiting for us in our future.

If a man is healthy we'd never ask him to cough on us to make us healthy. But if he's sick, we'll avoid him because he spreads sickness with every cough and with every touch of his hands. Sin spreads in the same way when the heart isn't right with Christ. There's a million ways to be defiled, but only one way to get clean!
