Throughout His ministry Jesus was very sought after. One day while teaching in a crowded house, a group of friends desperate to help their paralyzed friend sawed into a roof to lower Him. How did Jesus respond to this act of seemingly maniacal faith? And today, do we exercise the same outworking of faith?

Whatever it Takes: Mark 2:1-12

All the other disciples went home doubting and confused, but Mary Magdalene remained outside the empty tomb weeping. She was lost without Jesus, so she continued asking and seeking to discover where His body was taken. It was then that HE FOUND HER! Evidence from the empty tomb did not convince her of the resurrection; it was a personal encounter with the resurrected Christ that proved it!

Found by Jesus: John 20:11-18

I'm so thankful that Jesus did not limit His ministry to the four walls of the synagogue. In fact, most of His ministry happened outside of religious confines. He spent quality time with people outdoors and in their homes. What amazing things could happen if we followed in His footsteps!

Unboxing Church: Mark 1:29-39

Jesus says, "Follow me!" He preaches a revolutionary message causing religious hypocrites to cringe and sorry sinners to rejoice. He transforms insignificant ruffians with a remarkable calling to become more than they could ever dream. At His words, the true disciple's heart overflows with a radical obedience.

Moses was radiant after seeing the afterglow of God's glory. His face was physically shining, and the people were afraid to come near him. This glory was amazing, but faded with time. Moses had to get recharged by spending time in God's presence. The Holy Spirit gives us something greater. We have an ever increasing glory in which we reflect the glory of God more and more each day. New Calling (John 16:7)

Israel royally messed up! They exchanged the infinite living God for a finite lifeless idol. Moses was greatly distressed, but he did not condemn the people in his heart. Instead, he interceded for them. He offered up his own life in exchange for the salvation of these idolatrous people. God did not send His One and Only Son into the world to condemn it. He sent Jesus to save it. What amazing love the Father has for us! Jesus shared the heart of the Father, and willing offered Himself as payment for our sin. Moses reflected the heart of Christ.
