From the story of the Ethiopian official, we learn that the Gospel of Jesus is for all people. There are no outsiders to the Gospel. It is ultimately God who opens our eyes to the Gospel. We need to respond to God's call to trust in Jesus Christ, we take the step of believer's baptism. We need to believe and be baptised!

In this fifth message of the series, Pastor Daniel examines John 4 and shares the message, "Jesus Has Ultimate Authority (John 4:43-8:47)." Pastor Daniel Winter explains that in this span of scripture passages, Jesus is revealed as the ultimate authority. Jesus has authority in His words and he has the authority to set us free from spiritual slavery. Have you submitted to Jesus' authority to free you? As He promised, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed!" (John 8:34)

In this fourth message of the series, Pastor Daniel examines John 4 and shares the message, "Jesus Quenches Our Deepest Thirst! (John 4:1-30)." Pastor Daniel Winter explains that in this special passage of scripture, the source of living water is revealed to a Samaritan women. Jesus revealed Himself as the Messiah to one who would have been considered an outcast. Jesus is the source of living water who quenches our thirst. Only when He convicts us of our sin do we desire His living water. Have you come to Jesus? Has your thirst been quenched with living water?

Our Christmas series at Calvary Church is entitled, "The Humble King: The Startling Truth Behind Christmas." In this second message of the series, "His Birth is the Supreme Miracle of Christianity," Pastor Daniel Winter focuses on Jesus's birth recorded in Matthew. Through this section of Matthew, we learn that Jesus is fully God, fully human, and WITH US. Listen in to learn more about Jesus and his miraculous birth (the Incarnation) which happened to declare that Jesus is with us and we can be with Him.

In this message, Rev. Jon and Elaine Winter share their journey with SEND International in Japan as well as their upcoming mission in Thailand. Rev. Jon Winter shares "Returning to Rest (Isaiah 30:15)," a meditation on how even when we are obstinate and lonely followers, God longs to show graciousness and exalt Himself by showing us mercy. We need to seek repentance and rest, for then we will find God and salvation.

In anticipation of and the wake following Canada's 43rd General Election, Rev. Charlie Lyons (Leading Influence, ON) shares the challenging and critical message, "Making Sense of Submission (1 Peter 2:11-17). Rev. Lyons addresses how we make sense of submission to civil authority by understanding we are submitting to God through our submission to the authorities He has appointed. Moreover, we out to pray for and honour our leaders for the sake of the lost and the sake of the Lord.

Our new fall series at Calvary is entitled, "Kingdom Living: Jesus' Instructions for Those Under His Rule." In an in-depth examination of the Sermon on the Mount, we learn what God wishes to teach us about living as Kingdom citizens, those who have been saved by God's grace. The third sermon of this series delivered by Pastor Daniel Winter focuses on "Radical Obedience (Matthew 5:17-20)." God gives us a clear picture of how we must trust Him and obey his commands.

On the one-year anniversary of the tragic Danforth shooting, Shirley Ferris (Billy Graham Rapid Response Team Volunteer) shares her experience immediately following the shooting, and she explains the role of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team in times of crises. Also, Shirley shares the message, "The Anchor of Hope (Hebrews 6:13-20)," explaining that we get certain hope as our anchor from God through a personal relationship with Him.

At Calvary Church, Pastor Daniel Winter delivers the third sermon of the series "Lessons from the Life of Abraham." In this sermon, “Running Ahead of God (Genesis 16:1-16),” Pastor Daniel shares how Christians all too often try to run ahead of God. Trusting human solutions and creating relational tension, we hurt ourselves. Instead, God desires for us to seek Him and cling to Him in times of trouble. Instead of running ahead, we need to depend on God for direction, discipline, and endurance.

In the closing Sunday morning sermon of Missions Month, Pastor Daniel Winter delivers the sermon: "Remembering Our Mission (Matthew 28:16-20)." In this message, Pastor Daniel reflects on The Great Commission and our responsibility at Calvary Church to recognize Jesus' authority, to go and make disciples, to baptize them, and to teach them Jesus' commands. We are reminded that even in this challenging work, Jesus is with us always.

Only Jesus Satisfies (Jeremiah 2:13, John 4:9-14)

For this Christmas at Calvary Church, we have been rejoicing with the series "Songs for Our Saviour's Birth." In the third sermon of this series, Pastor Daniel Winter shares the story of Zechariah's Song in Luke 1:76-80. Through Zechariah's calling, doubt, and subsequent praise through song, we discover the true nature of God and Jesus, our Messiah; moreover, we learn of our desperate need for him as our Saviour.
