At the start of a relationship, we go through a honeymoon phase. Everything is beautiful, it's exciting and we're enthralled. It's not until the fights and conflicts start that we question why we ever started dating in the first place. 
 
In the same way, many of us who found Christ were committed to following and giving Him everything. Now that seasons have passed and struggles have come up, we're not so sure anymore and have chased after other things instead of God. 
 
This week, Pastor Sam asks, "How do we finish well?" When we're older and experienced, will our love for Christ remain steadfast, or will it have fizzled out with wear and tear?

Humans are strangely attracted to shiny things, whether it be gold, jewelry, and money or flirtation with the opposite sex. Two things that tempt us the most are bling and fling. 
 We all have a weakness for either of these things, and that is where the temptations come the most strongly. How do we embrace these weaknesses of ours so that we can overcome the temptations that lead us to spiritual obesity and ultimately, death?

But sadly, the church has become revoltingly ugly and sickeningly obese. Rather than giving ourselves away as Christ did, we take and take and as a result, have become a disgusting bride.
