Devotion: Walking by Faith Not Feelings- Psalm 119:4

Thanks for joining us! If you have put your trust in the Lord you know that He calls on His followers to do many things: love one another, serve one another, love your neighbor, care for the brokenhearted... These callings are not always easy to do but they require us to take action. In Psalm 37:7 we are reminded that God also calls on us to be still and wait patiently for Him. How are you doing when it comes to being still and waiting patiently for Him? This can be every bit as challenging to do, but it is so valuable as we spend time with the Lord.

Thanks for joining us! In this passage, an angel of the Lord speaks to Gideon while he is threshing wheat. The angel tells Gideon that he will lead Israel against the mighty Midianites. Gideon feels totally unqualified for the job. Sometimes God calls us to get outside our comfort zone as we serve Him. Yet He promises He will be with us!

Thanks for joining us! We are living in a time where divisiveness and disunity are growing in our culture yet we are called to let our words build others up.   This devotion reflects on the Apostle Paul's words to us in Ephesians 4:29 where we are called to let our words be wholesome and helpful in meeting the needs of those God places in our lives.
