Covenants are agreements. The best agreements are covenants ratified and kept by God, like the one Jesus gives to us at the Last Supper. 
The best agreements are looked at often, renewed, and affirmed because they are being used, or lived into. Basically they are impacting our life.

Spurgeon then reminds us when we should be renewing that covenant. 
And I share a time when I do to thanks to a treacherous highway storm.
