സഭാപ്രസംഗി 4:8
ഏകാകിയായ ഒരുത്തനുണ്ടു; അവന്നു ആരുമില്ല, മകനില്ല, സഹോദരനും ഇല്ല; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ പ്രയത്നത്തിന്നു ഒന്നിന്നും അവസാനമില്ല; അവന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു സമ്പത്തു കണ്ടു തൃപ്തിവരുന്നതുമില്ല; എന്നാൽ താൻ ആർക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രയത്നിച്ചു സുഖാനുഭവം ത്യജിക്കുന്നു? ഇതും മായയും വല്ലാത്ത കഷ്ടപ്പാടും അത്രേ.

ഇഹലോകത്തിലേക്കു നാം ഒന്നും കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടില്ല; ഇവിടെനിന്നു യാതൊന്നും കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുമല്ല.

ലൂക്കോസ് 6:38
കൊടുപ്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കിട്ടും; അമർത്തി കുലുക്കി കവിയുന്നൊരു നല്ല അളവു നിങ്ങളുടെ മടിയിൽ തരും; നിങ്ങൾ അളക്കുന്ന അളവിനാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കും അളന്നു കിട്ടും.

Ecclesiastes 4:8
There is one who is alone, and he has neither son nor brother. There is no end to all of his labor, neither are his eyes satisfied with wealth. For whom then, do I labor, and deprive my soul of enjoyment? This also is vanity, yes, it is a miserable business.

1Timothy 6:7
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
