This sermon is titled: 'How Hard Is Matthew 19:9 To Understand?'. In a world of easy divorce, it is Jesus' teachings on the topic that has become a stumbling block to so many people becoming disciples of Christ. Sadly, in order to remove this stumbling block many churches have softened Jesus' teaching here in order to increase attendance, but if we're followers of God, we mustn't do so. But we also mustn't teach something that the passage does not teach either. So, with that in mind, in the lesson we're going to examine Jesus' teachings on divorce by asking the question: how hard is Matthew 19:9 to understand? We encourage you to study along with us.
