1 Chronicles 28: 9,10) - HOW WE SHOULD SERVE GOD.

And you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and a willing soul; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands all imaginations of thoughts; if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.
Behold, now, because the Lord hath chosen thee to build a house for the sanctuary; Be strong and do the work.
(1 Chronicles 28: 9,10)

Dear brothers in Christ, it is with great joy that we are studying the word of God together with you, in the presence of the CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, in the presence of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and in the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT.

All people who are intelligent know that there is a hierarchy in any realm of human life. But in terms of the universe, there is also a hierarchy that is undoubtedly more perfect than the human hierarchy.

And human beings need to know the human hierarchies, and also the universal hierarchy, to which God is in the foreground, being the absolute LORD of all the universe.
However, even though he is totally administrator of everything, he is open to relate to other beings both in the universe (angels) and here on earth, men.

And in the bible it is recorded that GOD, has partnered with many men, established partnerships with kings, established partnerships with prophets, with men who took seriously the plans that God had drawn for them and followed the Lord's orders, and were successful .

But there were many men who did not want to partner with GOD, CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, nor did they listen to the guidelines. Therefore, all who have abandoned GOD have failed, because they have abandoned their wisdom, and have used only their own follies, have trusted only themselves, and history shows very well the two forms of procedure.

Those who have accepted divine guidance have done well, and prosper. But those who rejected divine guidance had great difficulties, and even faced death early.

In today's study, we will see how King David guided his son Solomon that he would succeed him with regard to how to relate to God. David, by adopting a posture of submission to the divine orders, and the orientations of the ALTÍSSIMO, was a very successful man, in his reign, in his business, in his wars, because he gave his life totally into the hands of God.

Then, when he was about to face his death, he did not feel anguish of his own death, because he knew the GOD CREATING HEAVEN AND EARTH, and he knew that he would not die, he would only be transformed, from a mortal body to an immortal body.

That is why, in the face of such a situation, he called his son very calmly to give some guidance on how to act in a relationship with the ALTÍSSIMO, CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH.

In the first book of Chronicles, chapter 28, verse 9 and 10. David calls his son, and passes the necessary guidelines.

In verse 9, he argues: "AND YOU, MY SOLOMON SON. KNOW THE GOD OF HIS FATHER, AND SERVE HIM WITH A PERFECT HEART AND WITH A VOLUNTEER SOUL."
In this verse he already gives three directions. He asks the son to know GOD, asks his son to serve him with the perfect heart, and asks his son to serve him with a willing soul.
This expression "voluntary soul," that is, it has to serve GOD with a desire of its own, as a need that needs to be fulfilled by its own desire.

In the second part of the verse, King David explains why he is guiding his son. He goes on to say: "BECAUSE THE LORD SQUADRATES ALL HEARTS". That is to say, that God makes an evaluation of the procedures, the intentions and the desires of the people.

God knows what is in the inmost of people, he reported thus: "HE UNDERSTANDS ALL IMAGINATIONS OF THOUGHTS." That is, you do not have to speak with your mouth for GOD to understand. God knows what he's thinking.

Now King David is going to warn the son of the danger he can run if he does not act like this: "IF YOU LOOK FOR IT, HE WILL BE FINED BY YOU."

"BUT, IF YOU LEAVE IT, HE WILL REJECT YOU FOREVER." This means that God behaves in a gentle way, for those who seek him, but those who reject him, he does not pay attention either.

In verse 10, King David clarifies to his son, "The LORD GOD HAS CHOSEN YOU." That is to say, that among thousands of people, Solomon was chosen by God. And David concludes, saying thus: "GOD HAS CHOSEN YOU TO BUILD YOU A HOUSE FOR HIM, A SANCTUARY (HOLY PLACE)".

David's last remark to his son: "STRESS THEM, AND DO THE WORK". King David asked the son to perform the work for which he was chosen, intelligently, with mute dedication, and spare no effort, and complete the work. It was for him not to leave the work in half, but to take the project to the end, since it had been chosen by God.
