(1 Kings 18: 22-40) - A PROPHET OF GOD, AGAINST 450 PROPHETS OF BAAL
And Elijah said unto the people, I alone am the prophet of the LORD: and the prophets of Baal are four hundred and fifty men.
Let two calves be given to them, and let them choose one of the calves for themselves, and divide it into pieces, and lay it on the wood, and set no other fire for it, and I will prepare the other calf, and I will put it on and I will put no fire to it.
Then call upon the name of your god, and I will call upon the name of the Lord; and it must be that the god who answers by fire will be God. And all the people answered, saying, The word is good.
And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose one of the calves for you, and prepare it first; for ye are many, and call on the name of your god, and set no fire upon it.
And they took the calf which he had given them, and prepared it; and they called on the name of Baal, from morning until noon, saying, Ah! Baal, answer us! But there was neither a voice nor any answer; and leaped upon the altar which they had made.
And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud, for he is a god; it may be that he is speaking, or that he has something to do, or that he tries to travel; Maybe he's sleeping, and he'll wake up.
And they cried aloud, and cut themselves with knives and lancets, according to their custom, until they shed blood upon themselves.
And it came to pass, when noon was past, that they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice; but there was no voice, no reply, no attention.
And Elijah said to all the people, Come near to me. And all the people came unto him; and restored the altar of the Lord, which was broken.
And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to which the word of Jehovah came, saying, Israel shall be thy name.
And with those stones he built the altar in the name of the Lord; and he made a trench about the altar, according to the breadth of two measures of seed.
And he set the wood, and divided the calf into pieces, and put it upon the wood.
And he said, Fill four jars of water with water, and pour it on the burnt offering and the wood. And he said, Do it the second time; and they did it the second time. And he said, "Do it the third time; and they did it a third time;
So that the water flowed around the altar; and even the rego he filled with water.
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came and said, O LORD God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known to day that thou art God in Israel, and I have done all these things according to thy word.
Answer me, Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you are the Lord God, and that you have turned their hearts back.
And the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked the water that was in the pit.
And when they saw all the people, they fell on their faces, and said, The LORD is God alone. Only the Lord is God!
And Elijah said unto them, Put forth the hand of the prophets of Baal, that none of them escape. And they laid hands on them; and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and killed them there.

However, once we make the choice, we already have the result. As the word of God says that "EVERYTHING MAN SEEMS, HE WILL CERTAINLY GET".
