As we hung out with God today and let Scripture read us we dug deep! We studied how in Paul's final days, he tells Timothy where his friends/co-workers are so Timothy can be aware. There are neat historical facts to be learned here but what we got out of this verse is:
How Paul let Trophimus stay sick. It appears that he was sick from being "burnt out" so that led us to how vital it is to rest and how it's a command from our creator to take a sabbath.
Then we also saw the importance of friendship and how Paul cares about mentioning them in his final words through his final letter (he wrote 13 books of the Bible and this is his last).
