Jesus is the Life and the Light. He has life in Himself and gives us both physical and spiritual life. Also, Jesus is the Light of men. We see that He gives us the ability to think and He gives knowledge, especially the knowledge of God through the Creation, the knowledge of right and wrong through our conscience, and the knowledge of salvation through the Gospel.
