1Samuel 16:7
the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.

Proverbs 21:2
Every way of a man is right in His own eyes: but the LORD weighs the hearts.

Jeremiah 17:9,10
9. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10. I the LORD search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Hebrews 4:12,13
