2தீமோத்தேயு 2:22-26
22. அன்றியும், பாலியத்துக்குரியஇச்சைகளுக்கு நீ விலகியோடி, சுத்த இருதயத்தோடே கர்த்தரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவர்களுடனே, நீதியையும் விசுவாசத்தையும் அன்பையும் சமாதானத்தையும் அடையும்படி நாடு.
23. புத்தியீனமும் அயுக்தமுமான தர்க்கங்கள் சண்டைகளைப் பிறப்பிக்குமென்று அறிந்து, அவைகளுக்கு விலகியிரு.
24. கர்த்தருடைய ஊழியக்காரன் சண்டைபண்ணுகிறவனாயிராமல், எல்லாரிடத்திலும் சாந்தமுள்ளவனும், போதகசமர்த்தனும், தீமையைச் சகிக்கிறவனுமாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.
25. எதிர்பேசுகிறவர்கள் சத்தியத்தை அறியும்படி தேவன் அவர்களுக்கு மனந்திரும்புதலை அருளத்தக்கதாகவும்,
26. பிசாசானவனுடைய இச்சையின்படி செய்ய அவனால் பிடிபட்டிருக்கிற அவர்கள் மறுபடியும் மயக்கந்தெளிந்து அவன் கண்ணிக்கு நீங்கத்தக்கதாகவும், சாந்தமாய் அவர்களுக்கு உபதேசிக்கவேண்டும்.

8. இந்த வார்த்தை உண்மையுள்ளது; தேவனிடத்தில் விசுவாசமானவர்கள் நற்கிரியைகளைச் செய்யஜாக்கிரதையாயிருக்கும்படி நீ இவைகளைக்குறித்துத் திட்டமாய்ப் போதிக்கவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறேன்; இவைகளே நன்மையும் மனுஷருக்குப் பிரயோஜனமுமானவைகள்.
9. புத்தியீனமான தர்க்கங்களையும், வம்சவரலாறுகளையும், சண்டைகளையும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக்குறித்து உண்டாகிற வாக்குவாதங்களையும் விட்டு விலகு; அவைகள் அப்பிரயோஜனமும் வீணுமாயிருக்கும்.

2 Timothy 2:22-26
22. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23. But foolish and ignorant questions avoid, knowing that they do produce strifes.
24. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25. In meekness instructing those that oppose them; if God perhaps will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26. And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

8.This is a faithful saying, and these things I desire that you affirm constantly, that they who have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
9. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
