(2 Corinthians 4: 14-18) - THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF AFLITIONS. VISIBLE THINGS DO NOT HAVE VALUE, BUT THE INVISIBLE ARE ETERNAL

Knowing that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us up for Jesus and present us with you.
For all this is for your sakes, so that grace, multiplied through many, may bring forth the thanksgiving to the glory of God.
So we do not faint; but though our outward man is corrupted, yet the interior is renewed from day to day.
For our light and momentary tribulation produces for us an everlasting weight of great glory;
Not looking in things which are seen, but in things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, and the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4: 14-18

        SECOND EPISTLE OF PAUL TO THE CORINTHIANS - (Chapter 4, Verse 14 to 18)

Dear brothers, we continue to study Paul's second letter to the Corinthians in chapter 4.
And Paul speaks of the effects of afflictions, of visible things compared to the wonders of invisible things. He begins by saying that whoever has raised Jesus Christ from the dead will also raise all those who receive Jesus Christ together.

This grace that Jesus gives us is for His love, for all those who receive it, and the more people receive Salvation, the more grace increases for the glory of God.
That is why we are not discouraged, even if the man in his physical body has tribulations, in the inner body, the spiritual is renewed, from day to day.

Because our momentary little tribulation brings us a very great value, and an eternal glory, not valuing the things present. The physical body, are things that are seen, are provisional, but those that are not seen, are eternal.

Dear Brothers, Paul is showing us that we pay more attention to this physical life, as everything here is fleeting, full of tribulation, full of problems. Man seeks to be happy in this physical body, but only finds disappointments, anguishes. As successful as a person may be, the more problems he has.

He who has many possessions, has problems every day, because material goods are broken, deteriorate, robberies, in short, the more you have, the more problems. And those who do not have possessions, also have problems, because they do not have what is necessary, for their own life.

So both those who have many, and those who have little, both suffer, therefore, that Paul is warning us to look only at our spiritual body, for it is what really gives us total happiness, joy, and trust, for the spiritual, is connected to God, and has all the care of God.
