(2 Timothy 3: 1-9) - PROPHECY OF CORRUPTION OF THE LAST DAYS. THOSE WHO ACCEPT, AND THOSE WHO DO NOT ACCEPT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
1 But know this: that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For there will be men lovers of themselves, covetous, presumptuous, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to fathers and mothers, ungrateful, profane,
3 Without natural affection, irreconcilable, slanderers, incontinent, cruel, without love for the good,
4 Traitors, stubborn, proud, more lovers of delights than friends of God,
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. Of these you turn away.
6 For out of this number are they that enter into the houses, and take captive foolish women laden with sins, having many lusts;
7 Who always learn, and can never come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 And as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so these also resist the truth, being men corrupt with understanding and reprobate concerning faith.
9 But they shall not go forth; for his revelry shall be made manifest to all, and so also shall he be. (2 Timothy 3: 1-9)
SECOND EPISTLE OF PAUL TO TIMOTHY - (Chapter 3, Verse 1 to 9)
Dear brothers, we are studying the second letter of Paul to the Minister Timothy, and Paul is speaking of a prophecy of the last days. On the behavior of a class of people who do not accept salvation, and on the contrary, they are people who have within themselves, attitudes incompatible with people who belong to the KINGDOM OF GOD.
These people are lovers of self, covetous, proud, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents and ungrateful, profane, without natural affection, irreconcilable, slanderers, incontinent, cruel, without love for the good, traitors, proud, more friend of the pleasures of this world, than friend of GOD. Having the appearance of being good people, but they are not, of these people we must separate.
These kinds of people mingle with women also with the same qualities, who are unprepared people, full of sins, and who live far from GOD, and their KINGDOM.
And these people always learn about the WORD OF GOD, but NEVER come to the knowledge of the truth, and NEVER make the decision to accept Jesus.
Paul gives an example of two people named Janes and Jambres, resisted Moses, so these people also resist the truth. Because they are corrupt, and they only understand the side of evil. And they do not understand anything of FAITH, so they do not accept the truth, and are similar to Janes and Jambres, who did not accept the message of Moses.
Dear brothers and sisters, we at WWW.LIBERTOSPELOAMORDECRISTO.COM.BR are witnesses that there is this class of people, that we, we strive to teach the Gospel to them, they are always listening, but NEVER TAKE THE DECISION TO BELONG TO THE KINGDOM GOD'S.
Because your heart is filled with the attitudes Paul spoke up, and these attitudes are not compatible with the attitudes of those who love GOD, and HIS KINGDOM.
Therefore, there is a very clear difference between those who accept the message of God and those who DO NOT ACCEPT, and who NEVER ACCEPT, since each has its own characteristic, both those who accept and those who do not accept.
That is why Jesus said:
"THAT HE DID NOT CONDEMN ANYONE, HE DID NOT COME TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THERE IS A CONDEMNATION, AND THE CONDEMNATION IS THIS. THAT THE LIGHT HAS CAME TO THE WORLD, AND THE PEOPLE PREFERRED THE DARKNESS OF THE LIGHT, BECAUSE THEIR WORKS WERE MORE "
(Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 19)
