Scripture: Joshua 17 : 14 - 18

Intro: Change your atmosphere
(1) Spiritual atmosphere–Resolve in the gospel
(2) Physical atmosphere–Resolve in God’s plan
(3) Mental atmosphere-Meditating on God’s Word

How can we conquer our unbelief?
1. The source of unbelief (v.14)
Then the people of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, “Why have you given me but one lot and one portion as an inheritance, although I am a numerous people, since all along the Lord has blessed me?”
(1) Greed, Fear
(2) Brightened physical eyes and blinded spiritual eyes (v.16)
“Yet all the Canaanites who dwell in the plain have chariots of iron”
(3) Gen.3, 6, 11

2. The strength to conquer unbelief (v.17-18)
(1) Know your identity and authority (v.17)
“Then Joshua said to the house of Joseph, to Ephraim and Manasseh, “You are a numerous people and have great power.”
(2) Have faith in the Word of God (v.18a)
“but the hill country shall be yours, for though it is a forest, you shall clear it and possess it to its farthest borders.
(3) Have faith in your spiritual background (v.18b)
For you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong.”

Conclusion: God loves you
(1) Unconditional love
(2) Perfect love
(3) Unlimited love
(4) Everlasting eternal love
