Acts 3:18-21 ESV

18 But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled. 19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, 20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.

18 Ngunit sa ganitong paraan ay tinupad ng Diyos ang kanyang ipinahayag na mangyayari sa pamamagitan ng lahat ng mga propeta, na ang kanyang Cristo ay magdurusa. 19 Kaya nga magsisi kayo at magbalik-loob upang mapawi ang inyong mga kasalanan, 20 upang ang mga panahon ng kaginhawahan ay dumating mula sa harapan ng Panginoon; at upang kanyang suguin ang Cristo na itinalaga sa inyo, si Jesus. 21 Siya'y dapat manatili sa langit hanggang sa mga panahon ng pagpapanumbalik ng lahat ng mga bagay, na sinabi ng Diyos noong una sa pamamagitan ng bibig ng kanyang mga banal na propeta.


THE TIME OF REFRESHING

The time of refreshing was promised to the Jews according to Isaiah 61. Definitely, this will happen during the millenial reign of Christ. Peter highlighted that as the Jews corporately had rejected the Messiah so is the time of restoration is a promise to the nation. As a note, everyone of us is responsible for Jesus’ death because we all sinned. [Rom 3:23]

This same Jesus who ascended into the heaven will come bodily.[Acts 1:9] He would restore all things. What sin has destroyed, God would restore. This is His promise. All that the prophets had prophesied will be fulfilled.

Today, let us be ready for His return? Then, the time of refreshing should become a reality.
