Reflection Questions
1. In this passage, the people we see Jesus calling and fellowshipping with are the "unsavoury” types”. Who do these represent in our society today, and are we guilty of keeping them at arm’s length to maintain social respectability? What should we be doing instead?
2. There are two responses to Jesus' authority. Witnessing His miracles didn't help the Pharisees and scribes. Rather, the response hinges on the acknowledgement of our sinfulness. Those who did left everything to follow Him. How have you responded to Jesus?
