Paul tells Timothy to be careful or to be on guard of previously mentioned Alexander the Coppersmith. This is the first time the we didn't dig into who Alexander is and what he did exactly, instead we are heading Paul's advice to watch out because this man is speaking against their mission with God.
We discussed the importance of boundaries - only letting God into the inner court of our heart and then allowing Him to keep us alert as to who we keep close and who we have to let go.
We also shared the importance of (regardless of which scripture we read) to spend quality time with God so He can guide us, protect us, and to be the one to judge. God has our back!
We are not victims. We don't "watch out" in fear! God is sovereign so He's got all of this covered.
