According to Paul, there is a direct connection between a marriage relationship and a relationship with Christ. Marriage is not only about the relationship between husband and wife, but it is also about the relationship between Christ and us. With another word, there are some things we would not understand about marriage unless we look at it through the lens of our relationship with Christ, and there are some things we would not understand about our relationship with Christ unless we look at it through the lens of marriage. There are two sides. You can’t completely understand one without understanding the other.
