I. THE SUBTITLE OF THE PSALM

A. The Recipient—To the chief Musician

1. One of fifty-five psalms addressed as such
2. By all appearances, this is Jeduthun.

II. MAN’S CORRUPTION BEFORE GOD (Psalm 14:1-3; see Romans 3:10-18)

A. The Identity of the Corrupt (Psalm 14:1)

1. His association—“The fool” (see Psalm 53:1)
2. His character

B. The Character of the Corrupt (Psalm 14:1-3)

1. Their internal folly (Psalm 14:1)
2. The outworking of their folly (Psalm 14:1-3)

III. MAN’S CORRUPTION BEFORE MAN (Psalm 14:4-6)

A. The Ill Treatment of Others (Psalm 14:4-6)

1. The ignorance of the wicked (Psalm 14:4)
