Relational challenges and conflict between individuals make it difficult for people to accept one another.

Jesus knew this and foretold the disciples (and us in John 16 verse 33) that troubles would exist in life, but to have hope and never to lose sight that Jesus overcome all things.

You see God always has a plan. And God’s plan for how we are to Accept One Another is found in Romans 15 verse 7: Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us, for the glory of God.

Accept one another ...for the glory of God. Drawing from the Greek roots of the word accept we find a verb, an action word, it means that we are to receive take hold of, take the initiative in accepting other people.

God’s plan requires we resist going on the defensive and shutting down or shutting out folks who may have fallen from our good graces. God calls us to the offensive, to be proactive and accept.
