Acts 11:19-30 – When The Heat Gets Turned Up is the development of God’s plan for knitting the church together. This section of scripture discloses events recorded which describe the same phenomenon of Gentile conversion, but in different circumstances. In this case, at the start it was not an Apostle that was God’s chosen instrument, but a few unknown and unrecognized disciples, who were fleeing north from persecution, and had reached the volatile city of Antioch. Acts 11:19-30 – When The Heat Gets Turned Up shows that the hand of the Lord was with these disciples, as it certainly had been with Peter, and large numbers of converts were gathered into a church. In this instance, also, the mother church in Jerusalem felt bound to make inquiry, so they first sent forth Barnabas, who would be later joined by the Apostle Paul.
When The Heat Gets Turned Up: The Disciples Depend On The Gospel and The Holy Spirit
The Apostle Paul wrote: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek” (Romans 1:16, NKJV)
When The Heat Gets Turned Up: People Stay in Their Bubbles but Disciples Create and Change Culture
The LORD Jesus said: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20, NKJV)
