How strange that the first reports of the resurrection come from women. Women were not allowed to be witnesses at a trial in Jesus' day, and yet God entrusts the good news that Jesus is alive to female disciples. No surprise, the male disciples consider their report "an idle tale." It is pretty unbelievable. Most of us would know better that to believe such a thing. Yet perhaps like Peter, we want it to be true. Might it actually be true?
