The book of Ecclesiastes can seem like a depressing book of the Bible to many. It challenges us to see the futility of many of the things in life that we put our hope in such as our career, success, wealth, relationships, etc. All these things will pass away and eventually, death comes for us all. Heavy stuff.
However, this often neglected book has great wisdom to offer us to live lives that recognize that all of life is not meant to be gain, but rather a gift.
