This Wednesday night Bible study in Nehemiah 8:9-14 is so applicable to where we live today it is amazing. Anyone can hear the word or God but until you understand it there is NO power in it to change our lives. Ezra was both priest and scribe . . . in other words he was a teacher who distinctly or systematically read the word of God and the people were changed by it. And all these things were for examples to us . . . .
