Text: 2 Corinthians 10:4 – 6
SPIRITUAL WARFARE
1. The enemies were identified by the Apostle Paul (Ephesians 6:12)
2. There are spiritual beings who are against the Lord and the Church
3. They will use human beings to attack the work of the Lord and the Church
THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE
1. Not carnal (2 Corinthians 10:4a)
a. A carnal approach is rejected
b. Some examples of carnal weapons used against Paul and his team
i. Personal attacks
ii. False allegations
iii. Causing division in the Church
2. But mighty in God (2 Corinthians 10:4b)
a. Our greatest weapon against all enemies is the power of God!
b. Our part is to trust in God and His power
i. To continue to serve God faithfully and blamelessly
ii. To trust that God in His mighty power will overcome the enemy
3. Pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4c)
a. The enemy will not prevail
b. God will pulldown their strongholds!
c. The LORD will preserve His faithful servants!
d. The battle belongs to the LORD!
BATTLING TRIUMPHANTLY AGAINST THOSE WHO ATTACK THE LORD AND THE CHURCH
1. Casting down arguments (2 Corinthians 10:5a)
a. Attacks against the Church are not always physical
b. Attacks can come in the form of “arguments”
i. False arguments
ii. Propagating wrong thoughts and ideas creating arguments
c. We seek the Lord’s strength and wisdom to cast down these arguments
2. Every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5b)
a. Each ideology that is exalted against knowledge of God
b. Arrogant obstacles 
c. Proud opinions 
3. Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5c)
a. The challenge to bring all these false teachings down
b. To bring all thoughts to be subjected to the Lord Jesus Christ
4. Being ready to punish all disobedience (2 Corinthians 10:6)
a. We cannot allow unruly people to come in and hurt the Church fellowship
b. The Church will exercise its authority to reject such people! (Titus 3:10 – 11)
i. They carry on being divisive even after being admonished
ii. They are to be rejected from the Church congregation
CHALLENGES
1. To watch over our fellowship 
2. To not drop our guard against false teaching
3. To do our part to strengthen the Church further!
