Psalms 100:1-5
1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
How do we give God our thanksgiving and gratitude?
1. Bring the right spirit: a singing spirit - Psalms 100:2b...“come before his presence with singing.”
a. Sometimes He will flow as tears through your eyes.
b. Sometimes He will be seen as you lift up your holy hands.
c. Sometimes He will be revealed as you raise a shout of victory and
song through your vocal cords.
2. Bring the right submission - Psalms 100:3a “Know ye that the Lord He is God"
a. Submit to the Person of God (We are told to "know that the Lord is God'')
b. Submit to the Promise of God (We are his people, the sheep of his pasture)
