2. What took place on the mountain?
=transfiguration
When Jesus and the three disciples came down from the mountain, who met them? 9:37

=one sick child may create very hard situation to other family members

=Father had faith to Jesus
=Jesus wasn’t there.
What might the disciples have done to the son? 9:40
=rebuking demon, praying to God and shouting to demon
What might the reaction of the father and the crowd have been when the disciples failed?
=disappointed
Who used this failure to discredit the ministry of the disciples and Jesus? Mk.9:14
=religious leaders include Pharisee
How did one boy’s trouble spread like a ripple?
=he could be the example for real world darkness.

=faith

=we need to ask to God until we receive the answers

7. the failed disciples
a. What did Jesus give them to drive out demons and heal the sick? 9:1
=yes
b. How did they experience the power of driving out demons and healing the sick? 9:6
=by receiving power and authority from Jesus
c. Why then couldn’t the disciples drive out the demon from the boy?
=Disciples: Ordinary faith (Jesus is my savior, worship, Tithe and God’s grace)
=Battle faith: demon: long time pray, hourly
=Knowledge is the power
=power is power: Satan’s power vs Jesus power
=sometimes: knowledge is not power.
