Everything Is Possible For Him Who Believes.

1.While Jesus and his three disciples were in the heavenly glory, what was happening to the remaining nine disciples?
9:14 They were very embarrassed. They were in great trouble.

The disciples – in trouble in many ways
The boy – dump, deaf, epileptic.
The father – great agony because of his son.
The teachers of the law – scholars, attack chance, knowledge
they can’t save single soul
The large crowd – people are attracted by failure.

3.Hearing what the father said, what did Jesus say? What is the root problem of the generation?
9:19 The root problem- no faith in Jesus.
Who is you? all of them by B.S.K Unbelieving generation.
Our human society has same problems.

4.After the boy was brought to him, to whom did Jesus pay attention; to the boy or to the father? Why?
Jesus focused on father. Jesus was working on faith of the father.

5.What kind of faith did the father have in Jesus?
9:17a strong faith
9:18b losing faith
9:20 If you can -doubt
6.Why did Jesus rebuke him for such faith?
9:23 God is almighty. If you can,
Jesus wants to see no doubt, 100% faith and firm.
Jesus wants to encourage him and bless him.
Jesus wants to increase his faith.

7.How did the father respond to Jesus’ rebuke? What was his upgraded faith?

He repented right away. I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief.
Real problem is his heart. It moved Jesus’s heart. Jesus accepted father’s confession.

8.Facing a problem, what is the first thing we should do?
Check our faith in Jesus.
All problem come from unbelieving Jesus.
How do we solve problems? Faith is a channel to reach to Jesus.
Help and blessing from Jesus through the channel.
Jesus focused on father’s faith.

Why did the evil spirit obey Jesus’ command?

Evil spirit.
11.What is the cause of all human problems?
Sin, presence of evil spirit.

12.Do you believe the existence of the evil spirit?

We are effected by either holy spirit or evil spirit.
Evil spirit in and out, yet it stays and commands person.

13.What did Jesus give his disciples?
6:7 we have the power over the evil spirits.

14.Why did the disciples fail to drive out the evil spirit from the boy?

Disciples drove out evil spirits before, yet they couldn’t do.
Why?
They need disciplined prayer life. Only prayer.
That is God’s will.
