Called To Be A Heir

Our New Quarter 2020 Winter Theme is entitled “Call In The New Testament.”

Called Through Heritage is the Title of the First Lesson in the New Standard Sunday Lesson For the Winter Quarter of 2020.

Our Study Scriptures are from Matthew 1:1-6, 16-17; Hebrews 1:1-5: “Called To Be A Heir”, for December 6, 2020.

For many are called… but few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14)

Therefore, brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things you will never stumble.
(2 Peter 1:10

“This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham:”

“Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,”
(‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:2‬)

“Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,”
(‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:3‬)

“Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,”
(‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:4‬)

“Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse,”
(‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:5‬)

“And Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriahʼs wife,”
(‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:6‬)

“And Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.”
(‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:16‬)

Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.”

This Lesson is NOT about YOU… NOR is it about ME.
This Lesson is NOT about MARY, ABRAHAM, JACOB, JOSEPH or DAVID…

Then WHAT is THIS Lesson ALL ABOUT!

IT’S ABOUT OUR RICH HERITAGE that LIVES WITHIN US.

It is ABOUT The SEED of GOD “springing -up” within OUR HEARTS… that Empowers US to live righteously HOLY.

ALL of US THAT ARE CALLED by JESUS, and birthed… (BORN AGAIN by the SPIRIT of GOD within US… have a KINGDOM HERITAGE.

But what does it say?
“The WORD is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart.”

That is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim:”
(‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:8‬)

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
(‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9‬)

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
(‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:10)

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
(‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:13)

JESUS had a rich Heritage History of faithful people in his earthly linkage… but he didn’t boast about them, or their culture, or their traditions.

JESUS was concerned about HIS HEAVENLY HERITAGE and THE SHARING OF IT with HIS FAMILY.

FYI: His Family are our sisters, and brothers St. John called the Children of GOD… You and Me)… HERE… NOW… on Earth.

“Now if we are children, then we are heirs… heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”
(‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:17‬)

JESUS, (the living WORD of GOD… that GOD CALLED HIS SON)…

Was SENT to the EARTH to SHARE HIS KINGDOM HERITAGE with Everyone that ACCEPTS HIS FATHER as THEIR FATHER.

“But in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.”

“The Son is the radiance of Godʼs glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”
(‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:3‬)

“So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.”
(‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:4‬)

“For to which of the angels did God ever say,
“You are my Son; today I have become your Father”?

Or again,
“I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”?”
(‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:5‬)

THE SEED OF MARY PROPHECY.

So the LORD God said to the snake:
"Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all the wild or domestic animals.”
(Genesis 3:14a)

“You will crawl on your belly.”
“You will be the lowest of animals as long as you live."
(Genesis 3:14b)

“I will make you and the woman hostile toward each other.“
(Genesis 3:15a)

“I will make your (seed) descendants and HER (SEED) Descendant, hostile toward each other.“
(Genesis 3:15b)

“HE will crush your head, and you will bruise HIS heel."
(Genesis 3:15c)

“The SEED is the WORD of GOD.”
(‭‭Luke ‭8:11‬b)

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of HER SEED, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus.” 
(Revelations 12:17)
