God commands Moses to conduct a 2nd census of Israel's 11 tribes, of anyone over the age of 20 years old, who is able to go to war and for the tribe of Levi, anyone who is a month old or older to go to war. During this 2nd census, God also states that larger tribes will have a larger inheritance and smaller tribes will have a smaller inheritance. The Old Generation died in the Wilderness and have no inheritance. The Levites have no inheritance, since God is their inheritance.

In Chapter 27, Zelophehad didn't have any sons, from the tribe of Manasseh, and thus his 5 daughters came forth and asked Moses if they could have a share in their deceased Father's inheritance. Stay tuned for God's answer when Moses presents this case to God. God also tells Moses that he cannot enter The Promised Land for his sin at Meribah. He asks God to appoint a new leader to lead Israel and God appoints Joshua.
