God commands Moses to tell the Israelites, who are still in the plains of Moab for a few months, that on God's appointed times ("Moadim", meaning window of time in Hebrew), Israel is to give a certain kind of animal, grain and drink offering. Each moadim requires a different kind of offering according to the animal type and measurement ("hin" for liquid measure) of drink and grain offering. The 10 offering Moadims were to be given:
1) Daily (morning & night)
2) Weekly (on Shabbat or The Sabbath)
3) Monthly
4) Yearly
5) Pesach or Passover
6) *The Unleavened Bread
7) The Firstfruits
8) The Trumpets
9) The Atonement
10) The Tabernacle
