Paul wants believers in Christ to understand who their Saviour is. That although he came in human form, he is the Eternal God who created, owns and sustains all things and he is the Head of the body of Christ – the Church. Believers are therefore to proclaim Christ in his fullness as God, our Savior, through whose blood we have been bought from the kingdom of sin and death and through whose grace and power we are made perfect – fit for his glorious kingdom.
