In these verses the Apostle Paul seeks to encourage the Hebrew believers to a confident, dogmatic, uncompromising stand on the Gospel based on a careful consideration of Christ, i.e., His glorious person and work. It is part of an ongoing verse by verse study through the epistle of Hebrews.
