This livestream discusses the history of the Watchtower Society's (Jehovah's Witnesses') interpretation of 1914 as the end of the "gentile times," or what the NWT calls the "appointed times of the nations" described by Jesus in Luke 21:24.
These "appointed times" are connected by the Watchtower with the "seven times" of Daniel 4:32, which is used as a basis for believing early members of the organization were appointed as the "faithful and discreet slave" in 1919 after God's kingdom was born in heaven in 1914.--Matthew 24:45.
Is such a connection clearly presented in the Bible and according to facts of history? If such a connection and teaching is not clearly presented in the Bible, is it at least possible the Watchtower and Jehovah's Witnesses who support it are correct when it comes to Daniel 4:32, Luke 21:24, and Matthew 24:45?
If God's kingdom was established in heaven in 1914 with the removal of Satan from Heaven, as is described in Revelation Chapter 12, does this lend support to the Watchtower's belief that they were subsequently appointed as the "faithful slave" in 1919?
We will consider these and other, related issues.
