This week, we're going to have a look at some of the stories of David.
What do you know? I believe his is the most mentioned name in the Old Testament; he is credited with writing half of the psalms and is held up as a model of a king of Israel. Yet, he made some terrible mistakes and broke a number of the commandments; but, through out the bible, he is credited as a man after God’s own heart!
We are going to pick up the story in 1 Samuel chapter 16 and focus on the story that leads us into the anointing of David as king.
At this point Samuel, the prophet and priest, has come to the end of the road with King Saul. King Saul, the first of Israel’s kings, has failed again and Samuel is sent out by God to find his successor.
