Jesus has walked into the Temple, God's house, as if he owns the place. He's invited guests (the lame and the blind) and begun to redecorate (overturning the tables of the money changers). The Sadducee priests confront him and ask, "By whose authority do you do these things?" That's the question that gets to the heart of the matter.
