Sometimes we face difficult circumstances and apparent defeat in our life. It's often hard to look at those situations and recognize that God is still in control. In Exodus chapter 1, we're told about the people of Israel being put into slavery under the pharaoh. while the world may have viewed this as a significant defeat of these people, ultimately it was a part of God's plan to take them out of Egypt and into the promised land. Sometimes our circumstances can seem like defeat. But be encouraged, and know that God's ways are not your ways and his thoughts are not your thoughts. In Isaiah 55, we're giving a promise about a future victory that we will be able to live in.
