Outline:
1. Former friends betray his anointed leadership and affinity of friendship (Verses 11-14)
2. False brethren rejoice in David’s adversity and unite in revelry
(Verses 15-16)
3. Fervent prayer for rescue of his soul by giving praise in Gods house (Verses 17-18)

The Point: David is reminded in Gods house that although his friends may forsake him the Lord will keep him from destruction.
