Greek Tuesday. Luke 7:38-8:3. This woman crashes a nice dinner at Simon the Pharisee's home, cries all over Jesus' feet and dries her tears with her hair. Then she anoints him with myrrh! Could she cause more of a scene?!? And Jesus says that she is forgiven. But is it her acts of love that cause Jesus to then forgive, or does her love flow out of the gift of faith she's already been given? Your answer to that question could determine if you are a medieval Roman Catholic or an historic, orthodox Christian.
