Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching verse-by-verse through The Book of Exodus in this sermon from Exodus 9:1-7 entitled, “Demonstrations of Sovereignty: The Fifth Plague.”
The purpose of Exodus 9:1-7 is to record the fifth of the ten plagues: death of the livestock. In this plague, the LORD again makes a clear distinction between the Egyptians and His chosen people Israel. In a demonstration of His sovereign election, the LORD causes the plague to come only on the livestock of the Egyptians and yet brings about redemption and distinction for His people, Israel. In this, we see that God is sovereign over blessing and cursing, living and dying.
